The time you spend at your desk or driving or working in the field can take its toll on your body. Plus, all the stress can create tension—not to mention the effect stress has on decision-making skills. Yoga can help! With some simple yoga poses and breathing techniques, you can gain flexibility, develop better balance, improve posture, reduce pain, enhance sleep, boost your immune system, reduce anxiety and depression, improve respiration, enhance well-being, quiet the nervous system, improve mental clarity, and more. Best of all, anyone can do yoga! In this session, participants will be led through various simple yoga poses that can be done pretty much anywhere—at your desk, in your office, in your truck, outside, or at home. Participants will also be introduced to breathing techniques that have many of the same benefits as yoga, plus they can help increase lung capacity. No experience necessary! Just come with an open mind. The presenter is a civil engineer with many years of experience in construction and stormwater management, more than 13 years as a yoga instructor and yoga therapist, and more than 20 years practicing yoga.

After this session, participants will be better able to:
• Practice simple yoga poses to help undo the stress and tension of the day.
• Perform breathing exercises to balance the nervous system and increase lung capacity.
• Cultivate mindfulness as well as body and breath awareness.
