In May 2016, the U.S. House Public Works and Infrastructure Caucus was established in the U.S. House of Representatives. Every two years since then, to align with the congressional cycle, APWA has been proud to coordinate with the bipartisan Co-Chairs, one Democrat and one Republican, to re-establish the caucus. Comprised of Representatives who take special interest in public works and infrastructure issues and legislation, the caucus acts as a forum for discussion, for sharing important information and legislation, and the APWA Government Affairs Team supports both virtual and in-person events, including issue briefs to Congress, APWA’s membership, and National Public Works Week activities hosted on Capitol Hill. These events raise awareness of the importance of congressional support for American infrastructure. For the 118th Congress, the Co-Chairs are Representative Dina Titus (D-NV) and Representative Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). Stay tuned to APWA communications platforms, and the APWA Washington Report, for updates about the Caucus!
