One of the most valuable exercises a fleet manager can perform is an equipment-to-technician study, either by determining the vehicle equivalency units or the maintenance repair units. After completing one of these activities, a fleet manager is better prepared to accurately determine the minimum necessary staffing levels for their fleet maintenance operations.

After this session, participants will be better able to:
• Differentiate between vehicle equivalency units (VEU) units and maintenance repair units (MRU).
• Complete a VEU or MRU exercise using their own equipment data.
• Use the data to establish minimum staffing levels.
