Maintaining a fleet of refuse trucks is critical to a sanitation department’s operations. Between advanced onboard electronics, modern hydraulic systems, increasingly complex engines, and the introduction of BEV trucks, the new cohort of refuse truck fleets has maintenance needs that extend far beyond what the previous generation of repair technicians faced.

After this session, participants will be better able to:
• Adopt best practices for preventive maintenance for a refuse fleet.
• Create an efficient preventive maintenance program suited to their specific operation.
• Identify ways to decrease downtime in the solid waste fleet.
