Pavement preservation is a cost-effective set of practices that extend pavement life and improve safety and motorist satisfaction while saving public tax dollars. This program will focus on:

  • Money aspects –such as costs, available resources, dedicated funding, etc;
  • Engineering/ technology items: such as project selection, picking the right treatment for the right road at the right time;
  • Management issues: developing a pavement preservation program and
  • Pavement management– such as data collections, data analysis After viewing this program participants will be better able to:
  • Recognize the benefits of investing in pavement preservation
  • Estimate the value of pavement preservation techniques
  • Set up data collection processes
