A panel discussion featuring city and county administrators will explore the fundamentally important relationship between appointed government officials and public works leaders who work together to ensure communities thrive. Attendees will gain insight on successes and challenges in working alongside public works departments from the city and county manager perspective. The panelists may provide examples of successful projects, case studies, and proven strategies for effective relationship management, as well as lessons learned, common misunderstandings, and improvements. The session will also help participants and panelists understand how APWA can support collaboration between public works professionals and city and county administration.
