RISN is a partnership between the City of Phoenix and Arizona State University to bring together government, university, and non-governmental entities to create a resource-focused Sustainable Urban Metabolism (SUM) platform. Projects include a waste reduction effort with a local school district, a regional GHG emissions inventory, a food resource feasibility analysis and an assessment of multi-family recycling programs.

  1. Promote Economic Development through circular economy (no waste) concepts.
  2. Engage regional collaboration for shared value opportunities.
  3. Conceive the value of feedstock (waste) consolidation and regionalization.
