The CPWA Board of Directors concluded a successful annual visit to Ottawa on June 7–9 for a board meeting and meetings with government officials. This year included meetings with:
Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
Transportation Association of Canada.
Engineers Canada.
Public Safety Canada on the Public Broadband Safety Network.
Infrastructure Canada on climate resilient infrastructure and a range of funding programs.
MP Chad Collins and MP Bonita Zarrillo on CPWA policy priorities.
The engagement is a useful step in information sharing as the CPWA readies to give input for the next round of federal budget consultations, which are due to begin soon.
