Every attendee at the Sw Conference brings the experiences and challenges of their agency and their role in winter operations. They have many different stories they can tell. The lesson could be about their operations, invations, or perhaps some new program they introduced. Perhaps they have some leadership thoughts they could share. The story may be that their agency needs to change. Perhaps they have tried to change and experienced both success and failure. Everyone has experiences to share, but often they don’t believe it is relevant or is concerned about delivering them. This session is about how to begin to prepare to share those experiences. The presenters will share their early experiences in presenting, sharing both their successes and failures. They will discuss how they overcame issues of presenting in front of a group. They will also discuss how to get started, the dos and don’ts. The presenters will also offer opportunities to take the first steps in sharing your story.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be better able to:
• Recognize the challenges others underwent transitioning from audience members to presenting in front of a group.
• Identify how to prepare, and the common mistakes made in preparing and delivering presentations.
• Discover new tools and mentors that will help in sharing their story.
