The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) authorized over $600 billion in funding for DOT programs, including bridge reconstruction, roadway repair, street safety, airport terminals, railway expansion, transit expansion, port construction, etc. A good portion of these funds are made available through competitive grants. DOT has stood up several tools to help existing and new grantees access these opportunities for funding.
At the conclusion of this session participants will be better able to:
o Summarize DOT programs for cities, counties, and states to advance transportation projects.
o Use DOT information to access upcoming grant opportunities, as well tools to assist with federal grant opportunities, leading to successful grant applications and project implementation.
o Explain requirements for federal grants, ensuring successful implementation of federally-funded projects.
