This engaging webinar will provide an overview of resources and programs that can guide local governments towards becoming more resilient, with a specific focus on the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities program and the role of the “Chief Resilience Officer”. Led by two of the first Chief Resilience Officers in the country, the webinar will provide a definition for resilience and will briefly outline the 100 Resilient Cities program as well as a few other available programs and resources. Additionally, the speakers will go into detail on the efforts they are each leading in Berkeley, CA and Norfolk, VA, respectively.

 

After viewing this program, participants will be better able to:
1 Discuss the 100 Resilient Cities model and the role of a Chief Resilience Officer.
2 Assess the available programs and resources on community resilience and how they could apply to their community.
3 Apply tactics from the success stories to their own operations.
