Do your aging infrastructure, citizen complaints, and shrinking budgets make you feel powerless? The presenters will provide ideas on using tools and techlogy to proactively identify maintenance needs and document and address them before your communities complain and emergencies occur. They will discuss identifying and implementing a systematic inspection program to identify maintenance needs, address federal (USACOE) inspection requirements, and provide the ammo you need to budget properly for asset management and maintenance. The inspection process and tools used will be demonstrated, and the implementation process will be shown along with a discussion on what worked and what didn’t in the process and how communities are safer as a result. After this session, participants will be able to:
• Identify and gather the needed components to implement an inspection process.
• Quantify and budget for deferred maintenance needs.
• Use a CMMS to automate the inspection process.
