This session will be a knowledge transfer session that will enable the audience to learn how to deal with the tracking of expenses, work performed, and resource management during emergency events such as FEMA-categorized events. The speakers will showcase what steps they took to amalgamate technology and emergency response management in Alameda County, California, which recently was affected by a major FEMA event, through the use of a BI dashboard that allowed management to have real-time data visibility, make informed data-driven decisions, and reduce staff burden through automating administrative tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Additionally, the speakers will also discuss how to understand FEMA equipment rates and use them correctly to expense during FEMA events.
At the conclusion of this session participants will be better able to:
• Recognize how to implement real-time financial visibility.
• Make data-driven decisions.
• Solve administrative burden by automation using business intelligence (BI) tools.
