Unfortunately, it’s a prevalent reality that private parties use a public right-of-way for their personal benefit resulting in potential interruptions and expenses to public infrastructure improvements. The presenters will discuss and provide examples of these situations and identify ways to recognize these types of uses in an effort to mitigate impacts and objections. Time will be allocated for lessons learned to be shared with those in attendance. After this session, participants will be able to:
• Evaluate electrical infrastructure needs to support the adoption of zero-emissions fleet, transportation, and equipment.
• Identify facility deficiencies that may impede the implementation of electrification initiatives to support a clean transportation fleet and operational goals.
• Describe the critical role engineering plays in progressing sustainable development initiatives within an agency.
