Hear from the team at the City of Austin’s Public Works Department on how the APWA Accreditation process helped build their partnerships with other city departments. Through resource sharing, regular check-ins with participating departments, and designing intentional meetings with project leads, you can promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within your region. To build and strengthen agency partnerships, leads should be purposeful when meeting with other agencies and encourage resource sharing during and after the accreditation process. This session will help participants identify various ways to build inter-agency/department partnerships and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the region. After this session, participants will be able to:
• Design a meeting that strengthens partnerships among participants/partnering agencies.
• Engage various stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
• Construct a plan to build partnerships with external departments/agencies through the accreditation process.
