Becky Stein is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with more than 30 years of experience working with nonprofit member- and volunteer-based associations. She has a master’s of public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Becky has been with the American Public Works Association since 2004 and currently serves as the Chief Learning Officer. In this role, she oversees APWA’s education, certification, and accreditation programs ensuring APWA is the leader in developing a comprehensive education strategy and framework for the public works industry. Previously, she was the Director of Education and Credentialing for APWA for more than six years and a Certification Program Manager for 13 years.

Becky is a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE). She has presented at the ASAE conference on “Developing a High-Performing, High Producing Volunteer Committee,” which was also featured in The Membership Management Report.
