EPA Proposes Reforms to New Chemical Review Process

The reforms to the process are intended to protect public health, promote efficiency and consistency;
The proposed amendments include the following provisions:
- Align federal regulations with existing law.
- Eliminate certain exemptions for PFAS and PBTs.
- Improve the efficiency of EPA’s review of new chemical submissions to foster innovation.
